Solar Price Index Pakistan, October 2026: Panel, Inverter and Battery Prices
Our monthly roundup of solar prices in Pakistan, built only from the dealer listings we track every day: the median panel rate per watt, inverter and lithium battery prices by size, how they moved through October 2026, and what it means for a 5, 10 or 12 kW system.

Every morning, SolarRate.pk checks the public price lists of Pakistani solar dealers and online stores and stores each listing once per day. This is the first monthly summary of that data: what panels, inverters and lithium batteries actually cost in October 2026, and how much the prices moved during the month. Every figure below comes from those stored listings. Where we don't have enough data, we say so instead of filling the gap.
Data date: listings collected on the morning of 28 October 2026 (around 5:35 am PKT), compared with our first day of tracking, 2 October 2026. Because tracking started this month, there's no month-on-month comparison yet. The November index will be the first one with a month-on-month comparison.
The short answer
- Solar panels: the median rate was Rs 40.0 per watt on 28 October, exactly where it was on 2 October. It didn't move on any day in between.
- Inverters: median prices slipped slightly in most size groups, from about 1% to 6% lower than at the start of the month. The biggest systems (above 12 kW) were unchanged.
- Lithium batteries: the common 3–6 kWh group (which includes the standard 51.2 V 100 Ah battery) fell from a median of Rs 235,000 to Rs 230,000. Large packs above 12 kWh dropped about 3.5%.
In short, October was a stable month. If a dealer tells you prices "went up this week", our data doesn't show it for panels.

How we calculate the index
- Source: public listings from the dealers and marketplaces we track. On 28 October that was 85 panel listings from 5 dealers, 467 inverter listings from 5 dealers and 153 battery listings from 4 dealers.
- Median: for each day, we sort that day's listings in a group by price (or by price per watt for panels) and take the middle one. Half the listings are cheaper and half are dearer, so one unusually cheap or expensive listing can't drag the figure around the way an average can.
- Typical range: where we give a range, it's the 20th to 80th percentile, the middle 60% of listings. It's the price band most buyers will actually see.
- Groups: inverters and batteries are compared within size groups, because a median that mixes a 3 kW and a 15 kW inverter means very little.
- Nothing is estimated. Days without a scrape are left out, not filled in. The full method is on our methodology page.
These are listed prices, not quotes. Installation, delivery and negotiation all change what you finally pay.
Solar panels: flat at Rs 40 per watt
The daily median for all panels was Rs 40.0 per watt on every day we tracked in October, from 2 to 28 October. The middle 60% of listings sat between Rs 37.6 and Rs 42.3 per watt on 28 October, almost the same as the Rs 38.0–42.4 band on 2 October. The number of panel listings we found rose from 78 to 86, so the stability isn't down to a thin sample.
For modern panels of 540 W and above, which is what most homes buy now, the middle of the market was also Rs 37.6–42.3 per watt. At Rs 40 per watt, a 585 W plate works out to roughly Rs 23,400.
By panel size, the latest daily medians on 28 October were:
- 585 W: Rs 38.3/W
- 590 W: Rs 40.3/W
- 610 W: Rs 40.6/W
- 620 W: Rs 39.5/W
And for the most-listed brands: Jinko Rs 40.8/W, Longi Rs 42.0/W, Canadian Solar Rs 42.0/W, JA Solar Rs 38.3/W and Trina Rs 40.0/W.
The cheapest panel listing on 28 October was Rs 28.7/W, far below the rest of the market. Very low rates can be genuine clearance stock, but they're also where older P-type or B-grade panels turn up. Our guide to solar panel price per watt explains how to compare quotes fairly, and how to check original panels covers the checks before you pay.
You can follow the rate day by day on the panel price history page, or see today's figures on the solar panel price page.
Inverters: slightly cheaper in most sizes
Inverter prices drifted down a little during October:
- Up to 4 kW: median Rs 86,500 → Rs 81,339 (−6.0%). Most listings: Rs 72,000–105,000.
- 4–7 kW: median Rs 145,000 → Rs 142,000 (−2.1%). Most listings: Rs 105,000–193,000.
- 7–12 kW: median Rs 299,000 → Rs 295,000 (−1.3%). Most listings: Rs 185,000–435,000.
- Above 12 kW: median Rs 555,000, unchanged. Most listings: Rs 285,000–961,000.
Treat these moves with some care. The mix of listings changes a little from day to day (for example, 102 listings in the 4–7 kW group on 2 October and 97 on 28 October), so a small drop in the median can reflect which models were in stock as much as actual price cuts.
Within each size there's a big spread, mostly between hybrid and on-grid models. For the hybrid sizes most homes buy, the middle of the market on 28 October was:
- 4 kW hybrid: Rs 92,000 – 125,000
- 6 kW hybrid: Rs 133,660 – 210,000
- 8 kW hybrid: Rs 224,600 – 317,000
- 10 kW hybrid: Rs 313,000 – 433,000
For on-grid inverters, the 10 kW middle range was Rs 165,000 – 200,000. For 6 kW on-grid: Price data unavailable, because too few listings were clearly labelled on-grid to give a fair range.
If you're choosing between types, read hybrid vs on-grid inverter, then the hybrid inverter buying guide for the specs that matter. Every listing by size is on the inverter price page, for example 6 kW and 10 kW.
Lithium batteries: a small dip
- Up to 3 kWh: median Rs 135,000, unchanged. Most listings: Rs 115,000–175,000.
- 3–6 kWh: median Rs 235,000 → Rs 230,000 (−2.1%). Most listings: Rs 218,000–260,000.
- 6–12 kWh: median Rs 525,000, unchanged, but from only 10 listings, so treat it as a rough guide.
- Above 12 kWh: median Rs 627,000 → Rs 605,000 (−3.5%). Most listings: Rs 575,000–690,000.
The standard 51.2 V 100 Ah LiFePO4 battery (about 5 kWh), the size most hybrid systems in Pakistan start with, listed at Rs 219,600 – 261,000 on 28 October. That's roughly Rs 42,900 – 51,000 per kWh. Comparing batteries per kWh, and on warranty, is fairer than comparing headline prices. If you're still deciding between lithium and a cheaper battery, lithium vs tubular battery works out which costs less per unit stored. Current listings are on the lithium battery price page.
What this means for a full system
Using the same 28 October listings, our system-cost pages put a complete installation without batteries (panels, inverter, structure, wiring and labour) at:
- 5 kW: Rs 398,281 – 565,396 (5 kW system price)
- 10 kW: Rs 785,363 – 1,210,792 (10 kW system price)
- 12 kW: Rs 882,923 – 1,407,591 (12 kW system price)
The panel and inverter parts of these figures come from live listings. Structure, wiring and labour are an assumption of Rs 18–30 per watt, because installers don't publish those prices, and they vary most by roof and city. Batteries, net-metering fees and elevated structures are extra.
Should you buy now or wait?
On October's data, waiting hasn't saved anyone money on panels, and the inverter and battery dips were small. A few points worth keeping in mind:
- Panel prices in Pakistan mostly follow the rupee–dollar rate and factory prices in China. Duty and tax changes, usually around the federal budget, can move them overnight. One quiet month doesn't predict the next.
- The bigger savings usually come from a fair quote rather than timing. Put any quote you've received through Check my quote, which compares each line with current listings.
- Size the system to your actual use first. The solar calculator works from your appliances, and our guide to sizing solar from your electricity bill works from your units.
- To see what solar would save on your bill, use the bill calculator for your DISCO: IESCO, LESCO, MEPCO, FESCO, GEPCO, K-Electric, or the general electricity bill calculator.
The next index, for November, will be published at the end of November. It will be the first with a true month-on-month comparison.
