What this tool does not do

Frequently asked questions
What does “fair” mean here?
A line is fair when your unit price (or total, for inverters and batteries) is within about 10% of today's median among the dealer listings we track for that item. High or low is outside that band.
Why is elevated structure “no comparable”?
We scrape panel, inverter and battery listings. Raised walk-under structures vary by height, steel grade and roof type and are rarely listed as standalone SKUs, so we do not invent a market price for them.
Can I check a hybrid three-phase quote?
Yes — tick three-phase and choose hybrid. Comparison uses hybrid inverter listings near that kW when we have them; if stock is thin, you will see “no comparable listing” rather than a guess.
Where do the market numbers come from?
The same public dealer listings shown on our panel, inverter and battery price pages, refreshed when we ingest a scrape.
